RemX is seeking a Controls Engineer for our premier client in Dayton, OH. Our client is a leader in turnkey automated equipment, Robotic Systems, Special Machines and Tooling.

 

This position will be on-site in Dayton, OH with 15-20% travel domestic & international.

Pay is salary based on experience (OT is available), full benefits package including 401k with company match, excellent health options, PTO, Company Paid Life Ins.,etc...

 

Duties:

  • Support Controls Team, Electrical Designers, Electricians, and panel builders
  • PLC programming, operator interface programming and hardware design
  • Work with application engineers to develop concepts and support sales engineers.
  • Manage internal design reviews and participate in design reviews with customers.
  • Develop project milestones with PM department.
  • Provide cost estimates for controls design & build.
  • Travel to customer sites will be required (10-15%)

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • PLC, HMI, Ladder Logic Programming Experience
  • Allen Bradley Experience
  • Mitsubishi Controls Architecture Programming Experience
  • Micrologix, Guardlogix
  • Hardware Design
  • Fanuc Roboguide Programming Experience
  • Travel 15-20% (mostly domestic with some international travel- overnights involved)
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5 years of professional experience in Electrical & Controls in an industrial enviornment
  • Strong knowledge with engineering principles and procedures that apply to machine design, safety, risk, part handling and robotic EOAT.
  • Thorough understanding of coordinated motion control technologies, PID setup, control and turning, and mechanical drive train design including the application of stepper motors, servomotors, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Rockwell Automation PLC programming experience
  • FactoryTalk View Studio ME, Studio 5000 View Designer experience
  • Vision system programming
  • Experience programming and integrating Fanuc and Yaskawa Robots
