This position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. Be part of an organization where we practice the mission in our daily operations and demonstrate our pride by delivering excellent care. ~ The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is accountable for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices. Data is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives. Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist is required, or Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology and one or two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to ASCP or AMT. Willing to consider new MLS graduates. Licensure/Certification/Registration ~ Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from ASCP or AMT required within one year of hire.
Monday - Friday Evenings from 3:00pm-11:30pm; Occasional day shift hours for the clinic included Rotation of every 3 rd
weekend.holiday: Overnight from 11pm to 7am Full time; The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. ~$50 per hour
