National Counseling Group is seeking qualified (Resident in Counseling or Licensed) full-time or part-time Clinical Assessment Specialists to provide services throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. National Counseling Group (NCG, an ncgCARE, Inc. partner) is the premier provider of community-based behavioral health services in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Location: Winchester, VA Compensation: $375/assessment 6 assessments per week 80-100k National Counseling Group offers its employees: Competitive pay Quality Benefits Licensure Residency Program for Full-Time Employees Advancement & Training Opportunities Tuition Reimbursement Job Summary: Clinical Assessors primarily ensure that Comprehensive Needs Assessments and requests for service authorizations are completed appropriately (timely, accurately, thoroughly). This position is expected to improve access and be the point of contact primarily responsible for initiating services. The assessments conducted occur mostly in client’s homes, though they could take place in schools or other community locations. The client population served would be children, adolescents, or adults with behavioral health challenges. Conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA) Meet face to face with the identified client and guardian (if the client is a minor) to gather relevant clinical information Complete intake forms (including appropriate releases) Write the narrative of the CNA, as outlined in the EHR form Populate the client’s profile in the EHR (including diagnoses, medications, allergies, etc.) Connect with associated professionals who are/have been involved with the assessed client Recommend service(s) based on the CNA Complete referral management workflow Conduct the service authorization process Complete the Service Authorization Form in the EHR Submit the form to the appropriate MCO (via efax or MCO portals) Interact with the MCO Care Coordinator (if necessarily) regarding addition information requests or service justification Notify local leadership and the NCG authorization specialist about completion Other Activities: Responds timely to all communication (emails, voicemails). Proficient in G-Suite Participate in mandated team meetings and case staffings with Supervisor Teams Maintains office hours to be available to support clinical teams with completing assessments and/or authorizations (for assessments not completed by the Clinical Assessor), reviewing portals for authorization approvals, and uploading or addressing relevant assessment and authorization documents in the EHR Able to be responsive and available to meet dynamic needs of clients and clinical supervisor staff Education Required Masters or better Licenses & Certifications Required Res in Counseling (VA) Preferred LicMarriageFamilyTherapy License Prof Counselor Lic Clin Social Worker Behaviors Preferred Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest Motivations Preferred Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help Goal Completion: Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization {advertiserId% %{category%%
