The duties and responsibilities for a 1109 Supervisory Grants Management Specialist generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinates and directs the work across various grant divisions, sets performance targets, and resolves differences where required.Directs, coordinates, or oversees work through subordinate supervisors.Provides expert technical advice and assistance on complex program issues, such as issues or problems that impact major, agency-wide programs.Advises on the design, development, and/or implementation of federal responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or other related crimes.Represents the organization in meetings and conferences, and coordinates with colleagues across the organization and the federal government.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentYou must be a United States Citizen or National.You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December, 31st 1959. QualificationsTo qualify for the position of Supervisory Grants Management Specialist (Deputy Director) at (GS-1109-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).To qualify for the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Oversees grant programs or develops programs, activities, or initiatives that support state, local, or Tribal organizations and communities.Provides leadership and outreach on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or other issues related to violence.Supervises staff and coordinates work-streams.
