**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - ICU

**Job Specialty:** ICU

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 12 Hour Nights

**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel; 1.5 years considered with additional RN experience outside of ICU

**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Approved by a board of nursing

**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (required)

**Must-Have:**
- Epic experience
- Comfortability working a 48-hour week contract
- Cardiac experience is preferred but not required
- ICU RN qualified to float to Emergency Department
- PCU RN qualified to float to ICU
- Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

**Job Description:**
- Opportunity to work in a mixed unit with a variety of ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neurological, and trauma.
- Manage complex cases such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac catheterization, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma.
- Perform patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, and rarely 1:3, depending on acuity.
- Collaborate with a support team, including CNA/Nurse Aides, charge nurses, resource nurse, and 24/7 respiratory therapists and physicians.
- Float to any adult floor including Medsurg/Tele with a 1:4 patient ratio if overstaffed.
- Participate in hospital and unit orientation with shifts.
- Work every other weekend with no on-call requirements.
- Meet holiday and time-off expectations as outlined.
