Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.
$30,000 sign-on bonus
Position Highlights:
- May be eligible for $30,000 sign-on bonus with 3 year commitment
- Compensation: Immediately, Avera starts you with great wages, excellent benefits including health, dental, paid time off, and generous retirement.
- Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summary
Provides direct, professional nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, for the long-term care resident according to established standards, policies, procedures, licensure and scope of practice.
Education and/or Experience
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current Licensure as a LPN in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.
Work Schedule
- Day/Night Shifts: 7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am; 48 hours every 2 weeks
- Every third weekend
- Every third holiday
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $22.75 - $31.50 per hour
