VP Regional Manager

Chubb is seeking a Cyber Underwriting Regional Manager for the New York Region. The ideal candidate will have extensive Cyber Insurance experience as well as previous leadership responsibilities. Key Accountability: Responsible for profitable growth of a large, complex book of Cyber business for the New York Region. The Regional Manager will oversee a team of underwriters and will be charged with employee development, overseeing broker/agent relations, and collaborating with key Chubb retail branches and personnel for purposes of business and market development. Major Job Functions: P&L accountability for all Cyber premium, profitability, growth, and retention results in the New York Region, including each branch within the region (includes New York City, White Plains, Long Island and New Jersey).Develops and executes effective strategies to generate profitable business growth. Manages execution of underwriting strategies and holds the team accountable for implementation. Overseeing the underwriting training and quality standards of the regional underwriting team, including ensuring proper file documentation to comply with underwriting and audit standards. Supports and collaborates on branch sales and marketing initiatives, assisting with new product launches and local marketing campaigns. Leads and/or participates in branch analysis and planning.Supports and collaborates on branch agency management activities, including agency analysis, planning, goal setting, education and market engagement. Leads and/or participates in agency analysis and planning.Ownership of broker/agency relationships including delivering high level expectations for the entire region. Gathers pertinent competitive information to assist in product development and business development activities. Underwriting Acumen: Demonstrates deep technical knowledge of Cyber products, competitors and marketplace. Exhibits rigor and expertise in underwriting complex risks. Sales and Marketing: Working knowledge of Cyber products and marketplace. Demonstrated ability to market and sell product and service advantages. Proven prospecting skills and effective use of sales and marketing tools. Agency Management: Ability to build strong agency relationships and manage expectations under dynamic market conditions. Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build strong key account relationships and manage customer expectations in changing market conditions. Proven track record promoting business retention and profitable growth. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with multiple business units, branch and Home Office stakeholders. Demonstrates effective consultation and partnership skills.Communications: Demonstrated ability to manage communications and awareness effectively between various parties of interest, including brokers/agents, Branches, Product Managers and Senior Management.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of industry experience, including Cyber specific experience. Demonstrated leadership experience. Proven effective engagement and motivation of team to achieve organizational objectives aligned with vision and values. Proven Cyber product knowledge and understanding of current insurance marketplace. The pay range for the role is $170,000 to $215,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
