Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.Positive Work Environment:Be part of an organization where we practice the mission in our daily operations and demonstrate our pride by delivering excellent care.Job Satisfaction:Each day you will positively impact each patient you serve.Job SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is accountable for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices.Data is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist is required, or Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology and one or two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to ASCP or AMT.Willing to consider new MLS /Certification/RegistrationCertification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from ASCP or AMT required within one year of hire.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday Evenings from 3:00pm-11:30pm; Occasional day shift hours for the clinic includedRotation of every 3 rdweekend.holiday:Overnight from 11pm to 7amFull time; 80 hours every 2 weeksPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
