*Essential Functions:*
* Documents correctly in the medical record and field chart. Identifies and acts appropriately in code situations.
* Applies professional skills to patient care; communicates and follows through on the treatment plan.
* Coordinates patient care with the appropriate services.
* Conducts comprehensive evaluations.
* Designs and implements therapy/treatment plans.
* Operates treatment devices appropriately.
* Provides education to families and other providers.
* Performs a complete assessment.
* Teaches patients in identified areas of need and evaluates response.
* May assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
* Maintains ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work.
* Communicates effectively and cooperatively in the workplace.
* Actively contributes to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities.
* Completes all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner.
* Maintains current registration and/or certification as required.
* Attends and actively participates in all department, team and/or committee meetings.
*Education:*
* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
*License/Certificaton:*
* Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Washington within 6 months of hire.
* Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare provider BLS required.
*Experience/Training:*
* Previous experience working in an acute hospital and/or nursing home is recommended.
Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, and paid time off to all employees holding an FTE of 20 or more hours per week. Eligible employees also receive sick time pay.
