**Job Title:** CT Technologist

**Shift:** Night 12 Graveyard Position, 7 on/7 off, 12-hour shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per Week
**Experience:** One year of experience in CT
**License:** Current state licensure (where applicable)
**Certifications:**
- ARRT-registered technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified for healthcare providers
- Preferred: CT registered by ARRT
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in imaging, patient care, coding, documentation, and infection control
- Familiarity with sterile techniques and radiation safety
- Proficiency in patient education
**Job Description:**
- Perform high-quality CT procedures.
- Ensure proper patient identification and order verification, and prepare the patient for examination.
- Conduct exams following department protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and anatomical positioning competency.
- Adhere to the ALARA program and follow proper radiation safety protocols.
- Critique images accurately and complete studies within department time expectations.
- Understand and execute protocols related to contrast administration under physician supervision.
- Administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast to patients as ordered.
- Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
- Provide necessary patient education and ensure patient comfort.
- Operate all CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
- Exhibit working knowledge of contrast injectors and laser printers.
- Demonstrate proficiency with electronic imaging, including viewing, transferring, and manipulating images.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
- Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and charging; obtain consents if necessary, and document any events that may occur for quality.
- Maintain a current QC program for ACR and report any equipment failures or problems.
This role involves physical requirements including hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, seeing, and standing. Post-hire expectations include meeting departmental IV certification competency within three months and completing the controlled substance and moderate sedation modules within six months, where applicable.
Language proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak) is required.
