Job Description

We are seeking capable and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking ordered items from the warehouse and delivering them to the necessary departments for product modifications and order fulfillment. This position involves significant use of computers for work orders and requires adherence to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize computer systems heavily for work orders.
  • Read, understand, and perform duties based on training and standard operating procedures.
  • Inspect materials before packing.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products, including picking, unloading, labeling, and storing.
  • Perform inventory controls and maintain high quality standards for audits.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Complete diary logs into inventory system.
  • Report any discrepancies.
Essential Skills
  • Basic knowledge of working in fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environments.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience using Windows applications.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fluent in English and able to read instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to use a pallet jack.

Work Environment

Our facility has 120 employees working across 1st and 2nd shifts. The work environment includes wearing PPE such as steel toe boots and safety glasses. The warehouse conditions can be erratic in temperature control, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The workshop environment involves exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles, as well as the operation of large equipment and machinery. Physical demands include frequently lifting up to 35 lbs., standing or sitting for extended periods, and repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.
