Construction Manager Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)

  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to develop canopy designs that meet aesthetic and functional goals.

  • Prepare project timelines and milestones, coordinating closely with stakeholders to align project goals.

  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring all costs align with financial projections.

  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for canopy-specific materials and services.

  • Supervise and coordinate with subcontractors specializing in canopy installation, including welders, fabricators, and installers.

  • Schedule and lead regular project meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and promote team communication.

  • Address any unexpected structural or safety concerns that arise, including adverse weather conditions impacting installation.

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, changes, and completion timelines.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of project plans, contracts, permits, and change orders for canopy projects.

  • Prepare final project reports, summarizing project outcomes, financials, and any lessons learned for continuous improvement.

 

Construction Manager Shift Info

  • Day Shift, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

  • Monday - Friday

 

Construction Manager Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications or experience with canopy projects preferred.

  • 4+ years of construction management experience, with a focus on specialty structures such as canopies or other outdoor architectural elements.

  • Previous project management experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, structural engineering principles, and relevant safety regulations for canopies.

  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera).

  • Excellent leadership/communication/problem solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple canopy projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to project changes.
