JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Data Conversion Validation Analyst to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing 1:1 validations to ensure the accuracy of conversion metrics across various platforms, including HR systems. Your work will focus on conducting data quality validations to mitigate risks and resolve discrepancies, ensuring that data integrity is maintained throughout tight implementation timelines. You will collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and product managers to drive seamless data validation and improve overall processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Validation: Perform 1:1 validations of conversion data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy across different datasets.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct data quality checks, ensuring all impacted employees are properly accounted for in the employee planning system and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Mass Data Loads: Manage mass data loads into multiple HR systems using Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) and data loader tools, ensuring accurate data transfer.
  • SOX Compliance: Ensure all validation processes and data handling practices adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, maintaining thorough documentation and audit trails.
  • Collaboration with Business Analysts: Work closely with Business Analysts to address conversion issues, ensuring timely resolutions and maintaining data integrity.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize Tableau Prep and Excel for data manipulation and validation. Write scripts to automate routine validation tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and product managers, to understand data flows and ensure comprehensive validation processes.
  • Documentation: Document validation processes, findings, and methodologies, ensuring transparency and sharing knowledge within the team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance validation processes and contribute to developing best practices in data quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Tableau Prep, and advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions).
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data quality assurance or data analytics.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
  • Workday experience is a strong plus.
