We are offering an exciting opportunity in Los Angeles, California for a Payroll Administrator and HR Generalist. This role is pivotal in the industry and will involve processing, verifying, and entering pay for all staff types, ensuring accurate payroll records, and assisting with HR functions.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process and verify pay for all staff, including contract, commission, and salaried employees
• Regularly review and maintain the accuracy of hours, pay rates, and employee coding within the payroll system
• Handle electronic timesheets for all staff and transmit data to the external Payroll Service
• Provide information and respond to employee queries regarding payroll matters
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to guarantee correct employee data
• Generate meaningful payroll reports for management as required, primarily using Excel
• Conduct ongoing audits of payroll to ensure the company complies with relevant rules and regulations
• Support HR functions by assisting with benefit enrollment, employee events, performance evaluation distribution, and new staff orientation
• Process paperwork for Leaves of Absences and tracking
• Maintain up-to-date payroll knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Handle background and reference checks for new staff
• Provide administrative support as needed.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
• Proficiency in About Time software
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience with Paylocity
• Experience in Auditing
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions
• Experience with HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems
• Proficiency in HRIS Payroll System
