Destination Pet is looking for a Pet Bather to join our pack at one of our esteemed establishments named Deer Creek Animal Hospital.

What is required to become a bather?
A love towards all breeds of dogs, cats, and other furry friends
Having a history of working with animals in an animal establishment is a plus.
Having the ability to work under pressure while still following proper procedure.
Time management skills, patience, and a positive attitude
Ability to operate a phone, computer and learn facility software.
Checking in a customer and understanding the customer's wants, concerns, and needs.
Be proficient at handling dogs.
Know animal behavior, body posture and hair textures.
Work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation, animal hair/fecal matter, hot/cold temperatures and getting wet.
Bathing requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting more than 50 lbs. This job is physically demanding.
The age of 16 or older
Ability to work in the United States
What are your responsibilities as a bather?
Answering the phone and booking appointments
Checking in clients and understanding what the customer wants
Answering any questions clients may have with a friendly attitude.
Handling, Bathing, Blow drying, and brushing on all breeds of animals in a timely fashion while following proper procedure.
Trimming nails and brushing teeth
Assisting the groomer if they need help.
Cleaning and maintaining the salon.
Laundry
Taking the dogs outside to relive themselves.
Keep the receptionist informed about pets that are ready for pick-up.
What hours will I be working?
Hours may vary depending on location, availability and need.

Destination Pet offers Grooming school for anyone who has been employed for 6 months in a Full-time or Part-time position.
