Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Controller to oversee financial operations for our manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in job costing, ERP systems, inventory management, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and transactional accounting oversight. This role also requires hands-on collaboration with external auditors and compliance professionals to ensure all financial operations align with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Job Costing:

  • Oversee job costing procedures to ensure accurate project and product cost analysis.
  • Implement and monitor cost control measures across the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct cost variance analysis to support decision-making and profitability improvements.

ERP System Management:

  • Manage and maintain ERP system for financial data integrity and process automation.
  • Lead ERP integrations or upgrades in partnership with outside IT and production teams.
  • Train team members on ERP functionality and troubleshoot any system-related issues.

Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory control policies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to forecast inventory needs.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead annual budgeting process, including revenue projections and expense forecasts.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts to reflect changes in business operations or economic conditions.
  • Provide financial insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Cash Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management, including cash forecasting and cash control measures.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other cash transactions.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital and manage cash flow effectively.

Transactional Accounting Oversight:

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Act as primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits.
  • Collaborate with compliance professionals to maintain adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.





Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing with management experience
  • Strong background in job costing, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in inventory management and cash flow oversight.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
