Job Description

Candidates will be assembling the actual railroad switches for Progress Rail. Here is what a candidate will do on a day-to-day basis:

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools
• Grind and deburr
• Lift up to 65+ pounds
• Light welding
• Perform other tasks that are required in the assembly process

Essential Skills

• Assembly experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Mechanically inclined
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Experience with grinding and deburring

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No certifications required
• No medical requirements
• No personal protective equipment requirements

Work Environment

Trackworks is a very dirty facility that is a bit disorganized. The doors are wide open, so it is very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It is very loud in the facility.
