Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in our healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry based in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. The role involves meticulous management of customer applications and records, resolving customer inquiries, and monitoring customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance of accurate records and filings for our affiliated entities across multiple states
• Identify and address discrepancies or opportunities in current corporate record-keeping practices, guaranteeing compliance with state-specific requirements
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory standards, with a focus on physician agreements and payer compliance
• Establish and manage a matrix of obligations regarding payer agreements, outlining permissible disclosures
• Handle responses to subpoenas and records requests, working in unison with the medical records team as needed
• Streamline processes for handling medical records requests to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with the Procurement team on pertinent legal matters, supporting vendor and supplier agreements
• Manage and organize legal documents, ensuring clarity of contract language and obligations.• Candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a paralegal in a corporate setting.
• Must have a deep understanding of contracts, their preparation, review, and execution.
• Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with corporate entities is required.
• Familiarity with health care laws, regulations, and standards is essential.
• Excellent research and report-writing skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in legal document drafting.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using legal research software and other computerized databases.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
