Job Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our team in Pleasantville, NY. As a paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their academic and behavioral needs. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about education and making a positive impact in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the classroom by providing instructional support to students.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, helping them with classwork and ensuring their understanding of lessons.
  • Support students with special education needs, including behavioral and emotional support.
  • Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Monitor and track student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Help with classroom management and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Paraprofessional certification or 60+ college credits preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators.
