Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Castle Rock, Colorado

Job Summary: Douglas County School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Castle Rock, Colorado. The successful candidate will be mitted to providing high-quality speech and language services to students and will meet the necessary qualifications to work in Colorado public schools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students individually or in groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' munication needs within the classroom environment.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support the carryover of speech and language skills outside of therapy sessions.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid Colorado State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
