About the Position:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist for a full-time, onsite contract position in Montgomery, TX for the 2024-2025 school year. This role will serve a K-12 caseload, working across multiple grade levels to assess, counsel, and support students with emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. The position includes conducting psychological testing, attending ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, participating in MDRs (Manifestation Determination Reviews), and providing individual and group counseling.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in using the ESPED system for case management, data entry, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments for K-12 students to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Prepare detailed reports based on psychological evaluations and provide recommendations for interventions and support strategies.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students dealing with emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.
- Attend ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings to provide assessment results and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Participate in MDR (Manifestation Determination Review) meetings to evaluate student behavior in disciplinary situations and recommend appropriate actions or interventions.
- Utilize the ESPED system for case management, documentation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement strategies that support students academic, emotional, and social growth.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district policies, state laws, and ethical guidelines.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Texas School Psychologist certification (or ability to obtain certification prior to starting).
- Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in using ESPED or similar case management software (training provided if necessary).
- Strong understanding of psychological assessments, behavior intervention strategies, and counseling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload across multiple grade levels and campuses.
- Experience with ARD and MDR meetings is preferred but not mandatory.
