Robert Half is partnering with a global e-commerce enterprise in search of a Senior UX Designer with expertise in developing comprehensive design systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in big tech environments and will be responsible for creating seamless component libraries using Figma. This is a great opportunity for a designer who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact settings, understands big tech culture, and is passionate about leading innovation in user experience.


Location: Remote (CST)

Duration: 6-month contract

Pay Rate: $65-70/hour

Hours: 40 hours/week


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of a scalable, flawless component library in Figma.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to create and refine design systems and components.
  • Advocate for best-in-class user experience and consistent design standards across all products and platforms.
  • Participate in design workshops, ideation sessions, and creative reviews, working with stakeholders at various levels to gather insights and align on broader design strategies.
  • Balance user-centered design principles with business objectives, ensuring that the final design meets both the customer's needs and the company's goals.
  • Own the end-to-end design process, from concept through to production, ensuring high-quality implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize data-driven insights, user research, and testing to inform design decisions and improve product usability and performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience building and managing design systems with Figma.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing experience in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
  • In-depth knowledge of usability principles and UX best practices.
  • Experience collaborating in fast-paced, cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale design projects.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present design rationale effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of UX or interaction design experience, with 3+ years in a lead or senior design role.
  • Previous experience working in major tech companies (Amazon, Google, Meta, Apple, Microsoft, etc.) and understanding of their operating cultures.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge design tools and emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI).
  • Experience conducting and interpreting user research, usability testing, and creating journey maps.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to apply them in design systems.
