Help Desk Technician Position

We are seeking a dedicated Help Desk Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This contract-to-hire role involves supporting our helpdesk, addressing daily trouble tickets, maintaining system security, and managing various hardware and software components.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpdesk support and handle daily trouble tickets for hardware and software issues.
  • Support and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, internet, and intranet systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure continuous network and system security.
  • Identify user needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, and other hardware and software components.
  • Deploy software updates and security patches as needed.
  • Monitor connectivity and perform network troubleshooting.
  • Manage customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account activity.
  • Utilize MS Windows 10 for various tasks and processes.

• Solid experience in Desktop Support is essential

• Proficiency in Network Troubleshooting is required

• Knowledge and understanding of Connectivity is crucial

• Familiarity with MS Windows 10 is necessary

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups

• Ability to work in a team and independently when necessary

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and updates

• High level of patience to deal with different types of technical issues

• Proficient in documenting processes and writing reports

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

• Availability to work in shifts if required

• Professional certification in IT support or related field will be an advantage

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
