Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Northern Kentucky (Non-Profit Organization)

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time, 1st Shift (Monday to Friday)

Overview:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected non-profit organization to find a dedicated Human Resources Manager. This is a pivotal role that will support the National Human Resources Director in managing the HR team and optimizing the use of organizational resources. The HR Manager will be responsible for recruiting, retention, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws, ensuring the organization runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department, providing guidance and leadership to the team.

  • Partner with organizational leaders to implement HR strategies that align with the organization’s talent acquisition and retention needs.

  • Provide expertise and support in resolving complex employee relations issues, ensuring government compliance, and supporting management with routine HR tasks.

  • Oversee HRIS systems, particularly ADP, ensuring proper database management, maintenance, and upgrades.

  • Supervise payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Manage the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of qualified candidates, especially for managerial and professional roles.

  • Analyze compensation and benefits trends to enhance employee total rewards and maintain competitiveness in the non-profit sector.

  • Organize and oversee employee relations, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and employee separation processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, regularly reviewing HR policies and procedures for updates.

  • Maintain agreements with vendors and benefits administrators, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Act as a key figure in benefits administration and HIPAA compliance, and manage Business Associate Agreements (BAA).

  • Assist in internal and external audits and ensure HR documentation is up-to-date and compliant.

  • Engage in continuing education and stay current with HR best practices, regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, ideally within a non-profit organization.

  • Current HR certification from SHRM or HRCI.

  • Advanced knowledge of ADP and other HRIS platforms.

  • Strong understanding of HR regulations and employment law compliance.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical problem-solving skills.
