Location: Morro Bay, California

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district in Morro Bay, California. The successful candidate will provide excellent speech and language therapy services to students, helping them achieve their full communication potential and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language difficulties.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust student progress and intervention plans as needed.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, offering professional guidance and recommendations.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (or eligibility to obtain this credential).
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
