Job Description

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding using TIG or heliarc techniques on thin stainless steel to produce custom, short-run, prototype equipment for the food industry.

Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG and heliarc welding on thin stainless steel.
  • Produce custom, short-run, prototype equipment for the food industry.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate welds.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Set up and fixture welding equipment as required.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in a laid-back, yet precise work environment.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in TIG Welding, MIG Welding, and working with stainless steel.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Welder qualifications per ASME Section IX and/or AWS D1.1 for GTAW, FCAW and/or GMAW in Horizontal, Vertical, and/or All Positions.
  • Capability to work on intricate welding processes, both hand and machine, to develop complex fabrications to closely prescribed standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the food-grade industry.
  • Ability to perform fixturing and set-up as required.
  • Skill in using a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Proficiency in operating welding equipment including machine settings for various welding processes.
