School Psychologist For 2024-25 School Year - Collinsville, VA
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Collinsville, VA. This is a full-time contracted position within a supportive school district committed to the well-being and academic success of its students. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of psychological principles and practices, a passion for working with children and adolescents, and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student learning and emotional health.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and concerns.
- Offer crisis intervention and develop prevention programs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IDEA and other relevant federal and state regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
