Position: Itinerant Special Education Teacher (SPED)
Location: Holland, MI
Dates: ASAP June 6, 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week (20 hours at each school)

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Itinerant Special Education Teacher to provide support to two K-8 schools in the Holland area. With a small caseload at each school, this role is ideal for a teacher who values individualized instruction and the opportunity to work within a resource model (push-in/pull-out). Youll split time between two schools, contributing to a diverse team of educators and supporting students with a range of needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect special education services to K-8 students.
  • Utilize the resource model to deliver individualized and small-group instruction, both in push-in and pull-out formats.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support classroom inclusion and differentiated instruction.
  • Develop and implement IEP goals, track progress, and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid Michigan Standard or Professional Certificate with one or more of the following endorsements:
    • Cognitive Impairment
    • Speech & Language Impairment
    • Physical or Other Health Impairment
    • Emotional Impairment
    • Learning Disabilities
    • Physical Education for Students with Disabilities
    • Autism
