Medical Device company in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Labeling Specialist.

Description

The position is primarily responsible for supporting the creation, maintenance, and implementation of product labeling, including the management of new and updated labeling specifications. Additionally, the role includes submitting and publishing data to the Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID) and the European Database on Medical Devices (EUDAMED).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

● Collaborate cross-functionally to support all data entry aspects of the device labeling process.

● Create, maintain, and implement compliant labeling based on inputs from Engineering and Regulatory departments.

● Support updates to existing labels.

● Manage the creation of new and updated product labeling specifications.

● Complete UDI and EUDAMED database submissions using data provided by Product Development.

● Assist with Document control team with Document Control functions as required.

Education, Experience, Skills, & Abilities:

● Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in medical device or other FDA regulated industry.

● UDI experience or understanding desired.

● Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

● Proficiency with other MS Office programs and Adobe is required.

● Familiarity with label creation or graphic software desired.

● Excellent organizational skills.

● Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision a plus.

● Must be able to handle project deadlines and be flexible in work schedule.

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually. Ability to stand, walk and reach frequently. Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally.

● Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

● Close vision required to read documents. Distance vision required to drive an automobile, if driving is a requirement of the job.

● Work environment is indoors and climate controlled. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

● Moderate noise levels as found in a light industrial environment, office environment, households with TVs and dishwashers, and driving light traffic.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
