Position Overview:
As a BCBA, your role will be to create and oversee behavior intervention plans that help students achieve academic and social growth. Collaborating closely with school staff, youll bring positive behavioral changes across the district.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting FBAs: Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments to understand student behavior patterns and determine appropriate interventions.
- Creating BIPs: Design individualized Behavior Intervention Plans to support students in meeting their behavioral and academic goals.
- Monitoring Progress: Gather and analyze data to evaluate intervention success, making adjustments when needed.
- Collaborating with Staff: Work with teachers, counselors, and aides to ensure BIPs are implemented effectively in classrooms.
- Staff Training: Provide training in ABA principles, behavior management, and proactive intervention strategies.
- Family Engagement: Engage parents in the process by sharing progress and providing strategies for home reinforcement.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is required.
- Experience: Experience working in school settings or with children with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including students, staff, and families.
