Job Description

A pipe and valve manufacturer is seeking a diligent and organized Manufacturing Admin to serve as a production coordinator. The role involves receiving Purchase Orders, developing production plans in collaboration with fabrication supervisors, managing inventory and replenishing supplies, working within the ERP system, auditing workflows, financial metrics, and production metrics, creating reports, and facilitating communications between floor-level managers and upper management.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process Purchase Orders.
  • Develop and implement production schedules in coordination with fabrication supervisors.
  • Manage inventory and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Utilize ERP system for efficient workflow management.
  • Audit workflows, financial metrics, and production metrics.
  • Create detailed reports on production and financial performance.
  • Facilitate communication between floor-level managers and upper management.
  • Manage and coordinate Material Test Reports (MTRs).
Essential Skills
  • Experience in scheduling and reporting.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Shop experience.
  • Expertise in inventory management, including planning and replenishing supplies.
  • Strong auditing skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating Material Test Reports (MTRs).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating work orders and creating production schedules.
  • Extensive experience as a production coordinator.
  • Experience in pipe and valve fabrication.
  • Familiarity with Mendix software.
  • FEM certification (Financial and Economic Modelist).
  • Knowledge of QlikView software.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment that is clean but not climate-controlled, with large fans for ventilation. The facility includes assembly/fabrication and warehouse distribution areas, with about 12 shop employees. The team includes CNC machinists, QC Technicians, manufacturing trainers, assemblers, and machine operators. The dress code includes steel-toe shoes, jeans, work shirts, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests. The work schedule is 1st shift, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime and weekend work depending on production needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Odessa, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
