We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Staff Accountant in Pasadena, Texas. This role involves a blend of accounting duties, primarily focusing on general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and understanding of debits and credits. The position is located entirely on-site and calls for a strong accounting background.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity

• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the accounting cycle

• Participate in the month-end close process to finalize financial records

• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Continually monitor and update customer credit records

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts

• Review and process customer credit applications

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the same industry.
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proficient in conducting Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiarity with General Ledger operations and maintaining Journal Entries.
• Experience in Month End Close processes.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software.
• Experience with Oracle financial software systems.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software.
• Familiarity with SAP accounting software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
