Special Education Teacher - Windsor Locks, Connecticut

Join our dedicated team as a Special Education Teacher in Windsor Locks, CT, for the 2024-2025 school year.

Position Details:

  • Start/End Date: ASAP to June 13th (subject to change based on snow days)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 36.5 hours per week
  • Caseload: 12-14 students, with specifics to be discussed during the interview
  • Compensation: $35-40 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of special education services for your assigned students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and service providers to develop and update IEPs.
  • Provide customized instruction to address individual student needs.
  • Work closely with staff, teachers, and families to enhance student inclusion and success.
  • Track student progress and make necessary adjustments to their IEPs.
  • Advocate for the students, ensuring they receive the appropriate support and accommodations.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching License.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
