Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, a passion for customer service, and excellent relationship-building skills. As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in managing and growing our clients' commercial insurance portfolios, ensuring exceptional service, and providing tailored solutions to meet their unique business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with new and existing commercial insurance clients. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Policy Management: Oversee the day-to-day servicing of client accounts, including renewals, policy endorsements, and modifications. Ensure that clients' insurance policies are up-to-date and compliant with applicable regulations.
Insurance Solutions & Advising: Work closely with clients to assess their business needs and recommend appropriate coverage options. Provide expert advice on risk management, policy selection, and cost-effective insurance solutions.
Quote & Proposal Generation: Obtain and analyze quotes from insurers, and prepare comprehensive proposals for clients. Ensure all coverage is competitive, comprehensive, and meets client expectations.
Claims Support: Assist clients with claims processes, including reporting claims to insurance carriers, tracking claim progress, and acting as an advocate for clients to ensure timely and fair resolutions.
Renewals & Retention: Manage the renewal process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and accurate renewal proposals. Work to ensure high client retention rates by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance coverage and address emerging client needs.
Risk Management & Analysis: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential exposure and recommend mitigation strategies. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to provide informed guidance to clients.
Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policy changes, quotes, and claims. Ensure that all account information is up-to-date in the agency management system.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in commercial insurance account management, brokerage, or a related field.
Licensing: Active state insurance license (or the ability to obtain one), with expertise in commercial lines insurance.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, coverage types (e.g., general liability, property, workers' compensation, etc.), and risk management principles.
Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with insurance agency management software (e.g., Epic, AMS360, etc.).
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify client needs and proactively suggest appropriate insurance solutions.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
