Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH has partnered with a manufacturing company in Grandville, MI, and is looking for a Senior AP Specialist to join their team. This permanent placement position will be hybrid with three days at home and two in the office.

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and update vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and payment forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounts payable staff, including training and mentoring.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role, At least two years in a senior or supervisory position is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365).
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $62,000.00 per year
