Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Die Maintenance Technician with 4 years of experience in progressive die repair, preventive maintenance, and die troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have manual milling and lathe experience, along with TIG welding tool steel experience. Strong blueprint reading and free-hand sketching skills are essential, as well as the ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and troubleshoot progressive dies
  • Perform preventive maintenance on dies
  • Operate manual milling and lathe machines
  • Execute TIG welding on tool steel
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Create free-hand sketches as needed
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Essential Skills
  • 4 years of experience in progressive die repair, PM, and die troubleshooting
  • 4 years of experience with manual milling and lathe operations
  • 1 year of TIG welding tool steel experience
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading
  • Ability to create free-hand sketches
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistent good attendance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of die maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repairs
  • Experience with manual machines or casting
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge

Work Environment

This position offers shifts on both 1st and 3rd shifts. The work environment includes working with die maintenance, machine shop operations, and various machining equipment such as grinders, lathes, and manual machines. The role may involve working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems. Dress code and specific safety gear requirements will be provided.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00
