Medicaid Specialist

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Location: This position will cover our Pittsburgh area locations, including: Wilkinsburg, Homestead, McKeesport, Mon Valley, Tarentum and Lower Burrell. The candidate selected for this position can work out of any of these offices. Local travel will be required throughout these areas with mileage reimbursed at the federal rate.
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in human services field highly preferred.
Required Experience: 2 years prior experience with Medicaid Applications and County Assistance coordination.
Required Certifications/Licensing: Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with culturally, economically and educational diverse populations
- Ability to form positive interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers
- Self-starter with strong time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be objective in tense situations
