Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, inspecting, packaging, addressing, and shipping materials. You will also handle the palletizing, boxing, and measuring of incoming and outgoing products, ensuring a smooth material flow in both the shipping and receiving areas.

Responsibilities

• Gather and inspect items for shipment or receipt.
• Package, address, and ship materials.
• Palletize, box, and measure incoming and outgoing products.
• Ensure smooth material flow in shipping and receiving areas.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Utilize RF scanning for inventory control.
• Read and interpret tape measures for all plant jobs.
• Assist with order fulfillment, staging, and inventory control.
• Reconcile inventory levels and keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
• Learn and assist with other roles such as operating saws, burn tables, and grinders.

Work Environment

The work environment is a steel shop with shipping and receiving areas. The position is for the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday, from 11 pm to 7:30 am. Steel boots are required, and no other specific certifications or medical requirements are needed. Please note that drug testing and past history checks are mandatory when transitioning to a permanent role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hixson, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
