Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Industrial Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our production equipment used in the manufacturing of commercial quantities of Subway bread. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning machinery, conveyor belts, and other related equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operations in a food production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine and Conveyor Belt Cleaning: Utilize air blowers, water spray systems, and manual wiping techniques to remove debris, dust, and contaminants from bread production equipment, including ovens, mixers, and conveyor belts.

• Sanitization: Ensure that all machinery and surfaces meet health and safety standards by applying appropriate cleaning agents and sanitizing solutions.

• Preventative Maintenance Support: Work with the maintenance team to ensure equipment cleanliness does not interfere with machine performance, potentially reporting any maintenance issues noticed during cleaning.

• Operational Safety: Follow all safety procedures while using cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals to prevent accidents or injury.

• Work Area Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that cleaning supplies and tools are properly stored and easily accessible.

• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure that cleaning schedules are adhered to and that production timelines are met.

• Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety regulations to ensure the cleanliness of equipment is maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning or food production environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with the operation and cleaning of large-scale machinery, conveyor systems, and food production equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food production and industrial cleaning.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment or supplies up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to bend, crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in potentially wet or noisy environments.

This job description outlines the primary duties and expectations for the position, with a focus on cleaning production equipment used in the bread-making process for Subway commercial production.

Commercial Cleaner Shift Info

  • Day Shift, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Saturdays

  • There will be a Friday TRAINING 1:00 pm - 12 am

  • Saturday, one day a week

Commercial Cleaner Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)

  • Commercial Cleaner experience preferred

  • GED / High School Diploma

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

  • Able to pass a background check

  • Able to work in the US

  • Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts

  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision

  • Capacity to take direction

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary 

  • Able to work in the US

  • Background friendly
