Job Description:

Insight Global is searching for a Precertification Specialist to assist on a 6 month contract to hire for one of our largest healthcare clients in the southeast.

This person will be responsible for obtaining authorizations for all appointments, surgeries, and procedures in the Charleston, SC market. You will be working primarily through insurance payer portals and may occasionally have to reach out to an insurance payer via phone for certain situations.

Location: Charleston, SC – West Ashley Area

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, M-F

Must Haves:

  • Experience in hospital registration, patient access, precertification or prior authorization
  • Minimum 1 year experience in hospital revenue cycle
  • Experience doing prior authorization through insurance payer websites

Plusses:

  • Previous work experience in pre-certification and knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred
