Job Description

The CNC Machinist will set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines to produce parts and components. The CNC Machinist will also read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, etc. to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform daily machine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machines. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and procedures. Keep work area and machines clean and organized at all times. Additionally, this person must maintain a good attendance record, practice safe work habits, and follow general safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines to produce parts and components.

Essential Skills

• Three years of experience machining custom one-of-a-kind parts.
• Proficient understanding of G-code.
• Knowledge of cutting tool selection for highest efficiency and accuracy.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently or as a team to accomplish common goals.
• Ability to communicate instructions to teammates.
• Must possess excellent attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient in CNC operations and blueprint reading.

Work Environment

1st shift hours: 6:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with additional overtime as required on Saturdays. The work environment includes advanced CNC machines and quality measurement tools. Safety is a top priority, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential. The dress code is casual but professional, with a focus on safety gear.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sussex, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $56160.00
