We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in Detroit, MI. This role offers the flexibility to work either virtually or in person, depending on your preference.

Position Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication and speech-language challenges. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to create tailored therapy plans that promote students academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students speech and language needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Direct Therapy: Provide effective speech-language therapy sessions, focusing on articulation, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and social communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate strategies into classroom activities and daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including session notes, progress reports, and IEP documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Professional Growth: Stay updated on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology and apply them in your work.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is a plus but not required.
  • Technical Requirements (for virtual candidates): Reliable high-speed internet, a computer with a webcam, and experience with teletherapy platforms.
