Maintenance Technician

Eastridge is hiring for a Maintenance Technician position on behalf of a leading provider of custom protective packaging solutions.

The Maintenance Technician ensures the functionality and safety of machines and building systems through maintenance and repair tasks.

• Perform electrical work, including equipment installation and system maintenance.
• Connect and rewire systems based on specifications.
• Conduct functionality tests on wiring and systems.
• Regularly maintain, repair, and calibrate machinery components.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to maintain operational standards.
• Maintain preventive maintenance logs and document activities.
• Respond to machinery safety and security concerns.
• Use technical documents like blueprints and manuals for equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machinery as needed.
• Install structural and functional machine components.
• Conduct performance testing on repaired or new equipment.
• Set up and integrate new machines.
• Provide repair recommendations and document findings.
• Perform additional related duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.

Skills and Abilities:

• Read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
• Write reports and communicate effectively.
• Perform basic mathematical operations and interpret data like bar graphs.
• Troubleshoot problems with straightforward solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Equipment Proficiency:

• Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, lawn tractors, and various power tools.
• Ability to operate company vehicles such as pick-up trucks.

Certifications:

• Forklift certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
