Our Client is a leading producer and marketer of liquefied natural gas (LNG), is searching for an experienced and reliable Dispatcher(HAZMAT/TMW background)

The Dispatcher will be responsible for following up with drivers to ensure product is picked up from our plant or logistics facility and delivered to customer destination. He/she will utilize TMW software to establish daily routes that ensure efficient deliveries to all customers. The successful candidate for this position needs to be able to enter pickup orders, route and coordinate all pick-up and delivery scheduling while managing transportation-related personnel, business partners and customer relationships.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Customer Service:

  • Daily communication with customers to determine workflow needs

  • Listen to customer comments, respond appropriately and forward issues to the appropriate personnel

  • Ensure the Company meets all customer requirements, and any changes are communicated immediately

Colleague Interaction:

  • Enhance communication between all departments including but not limited to maintenance, safety, sales, customer service, production, accounting and leadership

  • Ensure the Company meets all customer requirements and any changes are communicated immediately

  • Ensure that any service failure reports are recorded in TMW operating system and brought to the attention of the Vice President, Operations

Driver Oversight:

  • Supervision, scheduling and daily management of the Logistics and Dispatch efforts to insure on-time delivery of product to the customer

  • Ensure the drivers have the proper instructions to perform their duties safely.

  • Continually stays in communication with drivers to provide instructions and to help build team spirit by providing support where/as needed

  • Listen to all driver concerns and act on them appropriately as they relate to:

o Safety

o Drivers ability to perform his/her duties effectively

o Opportunities that would increase efficiency for both the Company and the customer

Equipment Utilization and Maintenance:

  • Coordinate the daily assignment of resources to maximize equipment utilization and payload

  • Coordinate the servicing and inspection of equipment.

Safety & Regulatory Requirements:

  • Ensure that the driver has adequate time to perform their duties safely and within DOT hours of service regulations.

  • Complies with all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.), regulations and company safety practices and procedures

SKILLS

  • Minimum two (2) years' experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the industrial gas industry

  • Attention to detail and good communication skills are a must

  • Bilingual - Spanish preferred, but not mandatory

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Experience in computerized environment including Microsoft Excel, Word, and TMW operating systems

  • Excellent customer service skills and strong analytical abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

  • Strong work ethic and ability to succeed in a competitive environment

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required,
