Histology Technician

Job DescriptionJob Description
DescriptionSUMMARYUnder general supervision, serves as lead technician for the Mohs lab ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLI Apolicies.
Produces high quality slides for Mohs surgeon(s). Typically reports to the Site Manager with clinic aloversight by the Mohs surgeon(s).

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSAssociates degree (AS) preferred. Certified Histo technician (HT) through the American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
.EXPERIENCE

• Two years of experience working in a MOHS surgical lab cutting fresh tissue for MOHS.
• Knowledge of OSHA and CLIA requirements.
  

SKILLS

• Ability to prioritize and work independently as a strong contributing member to a cohesive surgical team.
  
• Ability toperform accurate, dependable, and high-level work quickly and under pressure.
  
• Ability to communicate well verballyand in writing.
• Good hand eye coordination and the ability to work with delicate instruments and automated equipment.
