Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in FAIRPORT, New York. The candidate will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services, utilizing various software systems including Epicor and ERP Solutions. The role is within the industry and will involve close collaboration with other teams in order to ensure smooth and efficient purchasing processes.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee buying processes and ensure they are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
• Utilize accounting software systems to process financial transactions and manage accounts payable.
• Employ ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions to streamline and automate purchasing processes.
• Use Epicor software to manage business operations including supply chain, production, and financial management.
• Implement effective buying processes and budgeting to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Leverage Great Plains (GPAC) and About Time software to enhance productivity and accuracy of purchasing operations.
• Conduct regular reviews of accounting functions to maintain financial health and compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
• Continually evaluate vendors based on price, quality, and delivery speed to ensure the best purchasing decisions are made.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and changes to ensure the company's purchasing processes remain current and effective.• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Epicor
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Familiarity with ERP Solutions
• Understanding of Great Plains (GPAC)
• Experience with 'About Time' software
• Proficiency in Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
