Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Chester, Pennsylvania

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are in search of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Chester, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional speech and language services to students, collaborating with educators and parents to foster student development and munication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student evaluations.
  • Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and munication disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student evaluations, progress, and therapy sessions.
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff and parents on speech and language development and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist
  • Passing scores on relevant Praxis exams (if required by the state)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform job duties that may include lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to manage the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
