ProCare Therapy is working with a local school district to hire a school based Paraprofessional. The candidate should have experience working with children and/or populations with disabilities.

Contract work position in schools setting. All pay, benefits, human resources claims, etc. will be overseen by the ProCare Therapy support staff.

Full-Time Employee Benefits:
A benefit of contract work is that the paraprofessional is only required to work contracted hours. They are not to work morning/afternoon duty or attend professional development days unless directed in the contract.

Candidate Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain necessary credentials from the Dept. of Ed
• 2 years of experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.

• Monday-Friday; normal school hours

• Class aide OR 1:1 aide assignment

Job Responsibilities:

• Paraprofessionals are classroom aides or 1:1 aides to a student with greater needs.
• Paraprofessionals work under the supervision of the licensed educator within the classroom setting.
• Paraprofessional will support the lessons of the licensed educator.
• Paraprofessional will assist with the services required for students with IEP plans.
• Paraprofessionals will assist with data collection, behavior management, and instructional support.

Interview Specifics:
Applicants should be prepared to interview in December to start working in January.

• Applicants will go through an informal prescreening process with recruiters at ProCare Therapy to ensure qualifications are met.
• Applicants will be interviewed by the school or districtdepartment lead. The interview is typically a 30 minute Zoom call.
• The school/district may request a second interview where the applicant comes to campus.
• In junction with the school/district, ProCare Therapy will offer qualified candidates the position and begin the onboarding process.
