Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our dynamic team. The Assembler will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to assemble electronic components and products. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow complex instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies.
  • Position and align parts in specified relationships using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
  • Perform operations such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, cementing, and press fitting to join or secure parts.
  • Mount assembled components to boards or units and install multi-level subassemblies and modules into racks.
  • Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks, including potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Tend machines that press, shape, or wind component parts.
  • Conduct online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Set up stations with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.
  • Handle and install polarized/non-polarized components on designated locations on products.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.
  • Assist in performing repair work and communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and engineers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 1 year of electronic assembly or related experience.
  • Basic manufacturing line knowledge and participation in process improvement.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Good attention to detail and excellent eye-hand coordination.
  • Understanding of and ability to use a wide variety of tools and basic computer skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is an electronic manufacturing setting. Employees will be required to work day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or swing shifts from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The role involves working on elevated platforms and using various tools and equipment. ESD straps and other protective equipment are used to ensure safety.
