Outside Sales Representative

Position: Door-to-Door Sales Representative (Contract, with potential for permanent placement)
Duration: 6 months with STRONG possibilities for conversion to full-time employment (CTH)
Pay rate: 37$ per hour, 40 hours a week
Location: Ideal candidates should reside within a 30-minute drive from designated target markets (Portland or Seattle)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door sales presentations to promote telecom solutions within the community.
- Demonstrate energy, knowledge, and the ability to address customer concerns and questions effectively.
- Become proficient in the technology industry and confidently discuss client's solutions and offerings.
- Continuously learn and receive feedback from industry leaders to enhance sales skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service to leave a positive impression on potential customers, regardless of their decision to purchase.
- Maintain detailed mileage and expense reports, and submit weekly progress reports.
Job Details and Requirements:
Scope of Work: Increase penetration in target markets through door-to-door sales.
Customer Focus: Internal and external customer interaction required.
Team Size: Supporting a team of 20+ sales professionals.
Technical Environment: Provided with a company tablet for work purposes.
Work Environment / Culture: Field-based role with assigned territories. two-week training provided, including shadowing experienced field agents.
Daily Routine: Spend 85-95% of work time outside, engaging with potential customers. Attend daily team meetings via MS Teams.
Ramp-up Time: Two-week training process.
Conversion to Full-time: Goal is to convert high-performing contractors to full-time employees.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Skills/Technologies:
- Sales-oriented mindset.
- Basic computer skills to operate company-provided iPad.
2. Non-technical Skills:
- Integrity, strong communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Motivated by financial incentives.
- Reliable transportation and good time management skills.
- Commitment to learning and memorizing sales pitch.
3. Ideal Background: No prior experience necessary, preference for candidates with sales or telecom industry experience.
4. Preferred Experience: Previous experience in outside sales or telecom industry is a plus.
Administrative Details:
1. Interview Process: Conducted via MS Teams with cameras on. Feedback provided within 48 hours.
2. Location: Field-based role; see job description for specific locations.
3. Remote Work: Not accepted; candidates must be within 30 minutes of desired locations.
4. Timeline: Position to be filled as soon as possible.
5. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm; no overtime required.
